The First Ukrainian Money.

After revolution of 1917 in Ukraine was undertaken attempt of creation own independent state . Independence of the Ukrainian National Republic was proclaimed on January, 22, 1918 . However followed after this civil war was finished by connection of Ukraine to the USSR. The first Ukrainian money were printed January, 1, 1918. It were 100 karbovanetz denominations executed in the Ukrainian style but appropriate to the Russian roubles. Since March, 3, 1918 monetary unit in the country became hryvnia as a mark of respect of Ukrainian people to his history. Except for the central government issues within civil war and economic crisis many Ukrainian cities let out own money.
