Ancient Christmas Postcard

After Christening the Kievan Rus the Christmas became the main religious and state holiday in Russia and Ukraine. With occurrence of postcards in second half of 19 century the Christmas plots began to be represented on them regularly. To send to relatives and friends a congratulatory card in eve of Christmas became national tradition. Good artists were involved in creation of Christmas postcards . The best printing houses were engaged in publishing them. And after hundred years these cards bring to people pleasure and hope.
