Roman historian Svetonius tells═that one of the first collector of sea shells was emperor Caligula . In Middle Ages the═ Comb-shells═ were one of symbols of Christianity. Crusaders selected them on coast of Palestine and carried on their hats and helmets. The Cowrie-shells long time were used as money on═ Pacific islands and some Asian countries.
